Robert Da’Quan Johnson, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, South Carolina 2016

Robert Da’Quan Johnson, a 20-year-old man from Rock Hill, South Carolina, has been charged with a serious crime. According to the United States Attorney, Johnson was charged in a one-count indictment stemming from an incident in Rock Hill on March 4, 2016. Johnson is accused of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, a violation of Title 18, U.S.C. ”922(g)(1), 924(a)(2), and 924(e).

The maximum penalty Johnson could receive on the charge is 10 years imprisonment and a maximum fine of $250,000, unless he is determined to be an armed career criminal, and then he would face a mandatory minimum 15 years with a maximum of life imprisonment and a maximum fine of $250,000. Johnson was previously arrested for this charge pursuant to a federal criminal complaint on March 8, 2016.

The case was investigated by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) and the Rock Hill Police Department and is assigned to Assistant United States Attorney Stacey D. Haynes of the Columbia office for prosecution.

According to the United States Attorney, all charges in this Indictment are merely accusations and that all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
