Rodolfo Arroyo-Segoviano Sentenced for Leading Drug Ring in Lane County

EUGENE, Ore. — Rodolfo Arroyo-Segoviano, 38, of Springfield, Oregon, has been sentenced to federal prison for his leadership role in an international drug trafficking organization operating in Lane County.

Arroyo-Segoviano was handed a 145-month sentence and three years’ supervised release after being convicted of managing the local distribution network for the syndicate. This group is accused of importing vast quantities of methamphetamine, heroin, and cocaine from Mexico into the United States.

The court documents detail Arroyo-Segoviano’s role as the linchpin between Mexico-based organization leaders and local operations in Oregon. He was responsible for coordinating drug transactions, managing proceeds, and overseeing his subordinates, including recruitment and activity direction.

During the investigation, authorities seized over 178 pounds of methamphetamine, 12 pounds of heroin, six pounds of fentanyl, 18 rifles, three rifle optics, and ammunition. The organization was estimated to have laundered around $1.2 million, including over $400,000 in cash.

Thirty-five individuals, including suppliers, couriers, local cell operators, and distributors, were charged and convicted for their involvement with the drug ring. “The prosecution of this international drug trafficking organization exemplifies the relentless effort by our federal, state, and local law enforcement,” said U.S. Attorney for the District of Oregon, Natalie Wight.

Arroyo-Segoviano was initially charged with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine on July 31, 2020. He pleaded guilty to a one-count superseding criminal information on April 3, 2024. The investigation and prosecution were led by DEA, FBI, IRS-Criminal Investigation, U.S. Marshals Service, local police departments, and state law enforcement agencies.

This case is part of the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF), which aims to dismantle the highest-level drug traffickers and criminal organizations threatening the United States. OCDETF leverages a multi-agency approach to combat criminal networks effectively.
