Local Man Sentenced for Drug Distribution Charge
WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA – A 46-year-old man from Moundsville has been sentenced to 33 months in prison for his role in a cocaine distribution scheme.
Ronald Lee Shaw, also known as ‘Fuzz,’ pleaded guilty to one count of ‘Distribution of Cocaine within 1,000 Feet of a Protected Location’ in September 2017. Shaw admitted to selling cocaine near Riverview Towers in Wheeling on April 18, 2017.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen L. Vogrin. The Ohio Valley Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated the matter.
U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided over the sentencing hearing.
