Rosebud Man Charged With Failure to Register as a Sex Offender

Kameron Jackson, a 22-year-old man from Rosebud, South Dakota, has been charged with a serious crime that could land him in prison for up to 10 years and cost him $250,000.

According to the indictment, Jackson failed to register as a sex offender between June 15, 2014, and August 7, 2014. This is a requirement under the Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act, and Jackson’s conviction under federal law made him subject to this rule.

The indictment alleges that Jackson, who was required to register as a sex offender, failed to do so during the specified time period. The U.S. Marshals Service is conducting the investigation, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Tim Maher is prosecuting the case.
