Grimy Times Exclusive: Local Man’s Brutal Attacks Result in Prison Time
A shocking case of violence has unfolded in Fort Washakie, Wyoming, as Royce Neil Perry Jr, 24, has pleaded guilty to assault and involuntary manslaughter charges. According to sources, Perry’s brutal attacks left one victim dead and another seriously injured.
The case began to unravel in 2020, when Perry drove a motor vehicle under the influence of controlled substances, recklessly killing his passenger and injuring two children. The incident, which occurred on November 2, 2020, has left a lasting impact on the community.
Perry also pleaded guilty to one count of assault resulting in serious bodily injury, stemming from a separate incident in 2019. In this case, Perry allegedly hit an individual with closed fists and kicked them repeatedly in the head and face with steel-toed shoes.
U.S. Attorney Bob Murray announced Perry’s guilty plea, stating that the defendant could face up to 10 years imprisonment, three years of supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and a $100 special assessment. In the second indictment, Perry could face up to eight years imprisonment, three years of supervised release, a $250,000 fine, and a $100 special assessment.
The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael J. Elmore prosecuting the case. Chief U.S. District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl accepted Perry’s plea and scheduled the sentencing hearing for December 20, 2021, in Casper, Wyoming.
