Ryan Freeman, 27, of Manchester, New Hampshire, pleaded guilty in federal court to one count of bank robbery, according to United States Attorney, Emily Gray Rice.
The guilty plea stems from an incident on July 26, 2015, where Freeman entered the TD Bank on South River Road in Bedford, New Hampshire. He approached a teller, demanded $10,000, and threatened to blow her brains out if she did not comply.
The teller provided a sum of money to Freeman and he left the bank. Witnesses saw him leave the bank in a gold Volvo, which was later recovered after being abandoned near Exit 4 on Interstate 293. Images from the bank clearly established that Freeman committed the robbery.
A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for March 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Freeman will face the consequences of his actions at this hearing, which will determine the outcome of his case.
The case was investigated by the Bedford Police Department with the assistance of the Manchester Police Department, the New Hampshire State Police Forensics Laboratory, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Don Feith.
The guilty plea is a significant development in the case, and it marks a major step forward in bringing Freeman to justice. The investigation and prosecution of this case demonstrate the commitment of law enforcement agencies to combating bank robbery and other financial crimes in New Hampshire.
The incident highlights the importance of vigilance and cooperation between law enforcement agencies and the public in preventing and investigating crimes. The swift recovery of the getaway car and the identification of Freeman through bank images demonstrate the effectiveness of these efforts.
