Ex-Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding pleads not guilty to running drug smuggling ring
A former Olympic snowboarder has been charged with running a drug smuggling ring. Ryan Wedding, 42, was arrested on March 10, 2024 in Colorado and is currently facing multiple charges, including conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and money laundering.
The charges against Wedding stem from an investigation by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, which uncovered a large-scale drug smuggling operation allegedly run by Wedding.
Wedding, who competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics, has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His trial is set to begin in June 2024.
