On October 24, 1931, in a courtroom in Chicago, notorious gangster Al Capone was dealt a crushing blow as he faced the music for his income tax evasion charges. The 260-pound gang chief, known as ‘Scarface,’ entered the Federal Judge James H. Wilkerson’s courtroom with a worried expression on his face, but it was a look of fury that he wore as he left 30 minutes later, a United States marshal holding tightly to each of his arms.
