Scott Warner, Employment Tax Fraud, New York 2016

Local Business Owner Admits to $687,480 Employment Tax Scam

A Suffolk County, New York, resident has pleaded guilty to a serious crime that has shaken the local business community.

According to court documents, Scott Warner, the owner and operator of several temporary employment agencies, including Around the Clock Staffing Inc., Your Staffing Service Inc., Your Staffing Services Inc., Revlis Consulting Corp., and City Consulting Corp., failed to account for and pay over employment taxes to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).

This egregious offense resulted in Warner’s workers being denied their rightful compensation, with an estimated $687,480 withheld from their wages between October 2012 and December 2016.

Warner’s actions not only cheated the IRS but also put his employees at a severe disadvantage, as they were denied their hard-earned pay.

Principal Deputy Assistant Attorney General Richard E. Zuckerman praised the special agents of IRS Criminal Investigation for their tireless efforts in bringing Warner to justice.

Warner faces a maximum sentence of five years in prison, a period of supervised release, restitution, and monetary penalties for his crimes. His case serves as a stark reminder of the consequences of tax evasion and the importance of upholding the law.

As the people of Suffolk County demand accountability from their business leaders, Scott Warner’s guilty plea sends a strong message that tax evasion will not be tolerated.

Warner’s sentencing date has not been announced, but one thing is certain: justice will be served.
