Sheboygan Seven Face Decades in Narcotics Ring

Seven alleged kingpins of a Sheboygan, Wisconsin, meth and cocaine trafficking ring face life sentences after being indicted on federal charges. U.S. Attorney Matthew D. Krueger announced the charges against Irwin Sosa (25), Omar Sosa (23), Isaiah Beasley (24), Nicholaus Hoem (43), Ethan T. Massey (43), Nicholas R. McAtee (30), and Michael D. Waite (46) for conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.

According to the indictment, the group conspired between June 1, 2018, and December 31, 2019, distributing over 500 grams of methamphetamine, cocaine, and marijuana. Omar Sosa and Beasley are also charged with discharging a firearm in relation to drug trafficking, while McAtee faces charges for possession of a firearm by a felon.

‘The combination of drug trafficking and firearms is often lethal, and altogether too common,’ Krueger stated. ‘We commend the outstanding collaboration between local, state, and federal agencies that built this case.’

The DEA’s expansion into the Sheboygan area has been instrumental in these indictments, according to Assistant Special Agent in Charge Paul E. Maxwell, Jr. ‘Fighting the drug epidemic requires taking down large trafficking organizations,’ Kaul said.

This investigation was a collaborative effort between various law enforcement agencies, including the DEA, Wisconsin Department of Justice, and Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office.

As always, an indictment is merely a charge, and defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
