Sheena Chandel Meikle, Methamphetamine Conspiracy, OK 2024

A devastating blow has been dealt to the methamphetamine trade in Oklahoma, as Sheena Chandel Meikle, a 28-year-old woman from Tahlequah, has been sentenced to 46 months imprisonment and 5 years of supervised release for her role in a major drug conspiracy.

The sentence, handed down by the Honorable Ronald A. White, District Judge in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, is the result of a joint investigation entitled “Home of the Brave”, coordinated by the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) of the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

According to the Second Superseding Indictment, Meikle conspired with other individuals to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute 500 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of Methamphetamine, a Schedule II Controlled Substance, between the end of 2013 and January 27, 2016.

The investigation, which involved multiple agencies including the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics, the McAlester Police Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, uncovered a complex web of drug trafficking that spanned several counties in Oklahoma.

Meikle will remain in custody pending transportation to the designated federal facility at which the nonparoleable sentence will be served. Assistant United States Attorney Shannon Henson represented the United States in the case, which is a significant victory in the fight against organized crime in Oklahoma.

The sentence sends a clear message to those involved in the drug trade that they will be held accountable for their actions, and that law enforcement agencies will continue to work tirelessly to disrupt and dismantle drug trafficking organizations in Oklahoma.

The case against Meikle is a testament to the effectiveness of the OCDETF program, which brings together federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies to combat organized crime and drug trafficking. The program has been instrumental in disrupting and dismantling major drug trafficking organizations in Oklahoma, and has resulted in numerous arrests and convictions.
