Takari Elliot, RICO Conspiracy, Massachusetts 2023

Takari Elliot, a 22-year-old Boston resident, has been charged with RICO Conspiracy in connection with his alleged involvement with the Cameron Street gang. Elliot, also known as ‘T-Paper,’ is one of 22 members and associates of the gang who have been charged with various crimes, including racketeering, murder, attempted murder, robbery, and drug and firearm offenses.

According to court documents, the Cameron Street gang is a violent criminal enterprise whose members and associates are involved in a variety of criminal activities, including murders, attempted murders, armed robberies, carjackings, home invasions, human trafficking, and drug and firearms trafficking. The gang’s activities have spanned multiple communities in Massachusetts, including Brockton, Cambridge, Somerville, Quincy, Everett, Randolph, Taunton, and elsewhere.

Elliot is accused of being paid to commit the Oct. 13, 2020 murder of a gang rival in Brockton. Additionally, he is alleged to have committed previously uncharged attempted murders, including Eric Correia and Clayton Rodrigues’ attempted murder of a gang rival in Boston, as well as the June 11, 2018 attempted murder of a gang rival in Boston by Betha and Anthony Centieo.

The third superseding indictment adds Elliot, along with two other Cameron Street members, Daronde Bethea and Michael Nguyen, to the RICO conspiracy count. Bethea, also known as ‘Freeze,’ and Nguyen, also known as ‘Asian,’ are alleged to have worked with Cameron Street associate Brendan Amado to commit a home invasion robbery of a Canton home in July 2018.

The charges against Elliot and the other defendants include racketeering conspiracy, gun and drug trafficking, illegal possession of firearms, and possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking. Elliot faces an increased penalty of life in prison on the RICO conspiracy count due to his alleged involvement in the murder.

The investigation, which resulted in the seizure of 21 firearms and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, is ongoing. The defendants are scheduled to appear in court on [insert date].
