Taylor Vaught-Crysler, Armed Robbery, Oklahoma 2021

A 19-year-old woman was sentenced to 10 years in prison for robbing two Tulsa convenience stores at gunpoint, announced U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson.

Taylor Elise Vaught-Crysler, 19, of Tulsa, was sentenced to 120 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release for her role in the armed robberies of two QuikTrip locations in Tulsa.

The first robbery occurred on January 15, 2021, at a QuikTrip on Utica Avenue, where Vaught-Crysler pointed a gun at store employees and demanded money from the register and tobacco products.

Later that morning, Vaught-Crysler robbed a second QuikTrip on Peoria Avenue, again pointing a firearm at the clerk and demanding money from the register. The clerk complied, and Vaught-Crysler was also handed several rolls of Oklahoma lottery tickets.

During the investigation, agents learned that Vaught-Crysler obtained the firearm from codefendant Zachary Wayne Crew, 21, of Tulsa, and that she agreed to give him a portion of the proceeds from the robberies.

Crew pleaded guilty to two counts of obstructing, delaying, and affecting commerce by robbery and one count of carrying, using, and brandishing a firearm during and in relation to a crime of violence. He was sentenced to 118 months in federal prison followed by three years of supervised release.

The FBI and Tulsa Police Department conducted the investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney David A. Nasar prosecuting the case.
