Ten Indian nationals have been indicted in the United States for their alleged involvement in a visa fraud conspiracy.
According to a press release from Google Fraud News, the indictment was unsealed on March 22, 2024 in the Eastern District of New York.
The defendants, who are all from India, allegedly conspired to submit false and misleading information to obtain visas to enter the United States.
The charges include conspiracy to commit visa fraud and visa fraud, and each defendant faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
The indictment was announced by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, and the investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.
