SANTA FE NEW MEXICO, June 9, 1913 – In a bold, yet brazen move, Georges Cochon, secretary of the Tenants League, shed light on the misfortunes of evicted tenants in Paris. Cochon and a family of four, who had been turned out of their home, arrived at the Moulin Rouge during the Grand Ball, with their belongings piled high on a barrow. The family, with Cochon by their side, endeavored to install themselves in the hall, accompanied by musicians who made a ruckus outside the residences of landlords who had treated their tenants harshly.
