Terrence Daye, Cocaine Trafficking, Massachusetts 2022

Boston Man Pleads Guilty to His Role in Drug Trafficking Organization

BOSTON, Massachusetts – Terrence Daye, 33, of Boston, pleaded guilty on September 7, 2022 to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine.

As part of Operation Snowfall, Daye was charged with 23 others in June 2020 for his role in a Boston-area drug trafficking organization (DTO) that distributed cocaine and cocaine base, also known as crack cocaine.

According to the charging documents, the DTO, which operated in the Commonwealth Development in Brighton, also known as Fidelis Way, a multi-apartment public housing development, assumed control over multiple apartments to store, cook, package, and sell drugs. The DTO supplied customers, wholesalers, and distributors with cocaine and cocaine base, causing a blight on the development and reducing the quality of life for other residents.

Daye is estimated to have distributed between approximately 100 and 200 grams of cocaine base and over a hundred grams of cocaine during his participation in the Fidelis Way DTO.

Daye is the seventh defendant to plead guilty in the Fidelis Way related drug conspiracy. The remaining defendants have pleaded not guilty and are pending trial.

Daye faces a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, at least three years and up to a lifetime of supervised release, and a fine of up to $1 million. Sentences are imposed by a federal district court judge based upon the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and statutes which govern the determination of a sentence in a criminal case.

The investigation was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration, Boston Field Division, Massachusetts State Police, Boston Police Department, and other local and state law enforcement agencies as part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation.

The details contained in the charging documents are allegations. The remaining defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
