Grimy Times has uncovered the disturbing tale of Terronce Morris, 41, a former rapper from Missouri City, Texas, who pleaded guilty to a $1.35 million mail and wire fraud scheme involving bogus music concerts.
In a shocking turn of events, Morris admitted to conspiring with Blake Kelly, 36, of Los Angeles, California, to deceive the public by staging fake concerts featuring famous artists like J.B., P.M., and B.E.
Between December 2019 and March 2020, Morris and Kelly tricked J.R. out of $1,350,000 by claiming to produce a music festival. They forged contracts, created fake email accounts, and even posed as J.B. during a video call to convince J.R. that the concert was real.
Using the deceitful tactics, J.R. sent Morris three wire transfers and a $200,000 check, which Morris deposited into his own account. The duo squandered the ill-gotten gains on luxury goods, high-end restaurants, and lavish travel.
U.S. Attorney Markenzy Lapointe and FBI Special Agent in Charge Jeffrey B. Veltri led the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Roger Cruz and Joan Silverstein are handling the prosecution.

Morris’s sentencing is set for May 2, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. He faces up to 20 years in prison for conspiracy and two years for identity theft, totaling 22 years in prison time.
