Kyle Man Jailed for Aggravated Sexual Abuse
A Kyle, South Dakota man is behind bars after being indicted on two charges of Aggravated Sexual Abuse by Force, the Grimy Times has learned.
Tolin Gregg, age 19, was indicted by a federal grand jury on March 21, 2017, for the heinous crime.
The alleged incident occurred on December 23, 2016, near Kyle, where Gregg allegedly used force to engage in a sexual act with a female.
The maximum penalty upon conviction is life imprisonment and/or a $250,000 fine, a lifetime of supervised release, and $100 to the Federal Crime Victims Fund. Restitution may also be ordered.
The investigation is being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Eric Kelderman prosecuting the case.
Gregg appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Daneta Wollmann on March 27, 2017, and pleaded not guilty to the Indictment. He was subsequently remanded to the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service pending trial.
A trial date has been set for May 30, 2017, and Gregg is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
