San Diego, CA – Tony “Lil’ Play Doh” Brown, a member of the North Park-based Black Mob/Skanless Enterprise, was sentenced today to 66 months in prison for his role in a sex trafficking conspiracy involving minors and adults. Brown’s sentence also includes three years of supervised release.
The jury found Brown guilty of Conspiracy to Conduct Enterprise Affairs Through a Pattern of Racketeering Activity, sex trafficking of minors, and transportation of a minor for prostitution following a two-week trial. His co-defendant, Robert “Pimpsy” Banks III, has also been charged in the case.
“Sex trafficking is a heinous crime with long-lasting impacts on its victims,” said U.S. Attorney Laura Duffy. “Today’s sentence is a step towards ensuring these predators can no longer prey upon our youth.”
FBI Special Agent in Charge Eric S. Birnbaum echoed the sentiment, stating, “The FBI Innocence Lost Task Force remains committed to dismantling criminal gangs who exploit children.”
The investigation was a collaborative effort between the San Diego Police Department and the FBI’s Innocence Lost Task Force. Brown faces maximum penalties of 20 years for each charge.
Brown, age 33 from Tolleson, Arizona, is now serving his sentence, which comes as a result of a larger investigation involving 22 other defendants, all charged with various crimes related to organized crime and sex trafficking.
