Traci Linn Hubbard, Trafficking Counterfeit Goods, Iowa 2023

A Nevada woman has been sentenced to three years of probation for trafficking counterfeit Louis Vuitton merchandise in Iowa. Traci Linn Hubbard, 57, was found guilty of selling fake handbags and other luxury items out of her store, Unique Boutique, in Nevada, Iowa.

According to public court documents and evidence presented at sentencing, Hubbard sold counterfeit Louis Vuitton merchandise in March 2023. On March 23, 2023, a search warrant was executed at Unique Boutique and over 100 counterfeit Louis Vuitton items were seized.

Hubbard was also ordered to pay $13,800.41 in restitution to Louis Vuitton North America, Inc. United States Attorney Richard D. Westphal of the Southern District of Iowa made the announcement. This case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations.

The probe found that Hubbard was selling fake luxury goods to unsuspecting customers, who were deceived into thinking they were buying authentic Louis Vuitton items. The counterfeit goods were seized during the search warrant, and Hubbard was subsequently charged with trafficking in counterfeit goods.

Hubbard’s sentencing marks the end of a lengthy investigation into the sale of counterfeit luxury goods in Iowa. The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Iowa praised the efforts of law enforcement agencies involved in the case, saying that they had worked tirelessly to bring Hubbard to justice.
