Three Orlando men are headed deep into federal prison after a string of violent convenience store heists across Central Florida. Travis B. Hall, 38, Antonio Mobley, 43, and Derrick M. Davis, 38—all of Orlando—were sentenced to more than 14 years each for armed robberies that terrorized gas station workers in Kissimmee and Ocoee in March 2018.
Hall received 15 years behind bars, Mobley got 14 years and 11 months, and Davis was handed 14 years and 7 months by U.S. District Judge Paul G. Byron. All three pleaded guilty to charges stemming from three robberies in two days, during which they brandished firearms, assaulted workers, and stole cartons of cigarettes to sell for cash.
The first hit came March 1, 2018, at 8:50 p.m., when Davis drove Hall to a Sunoco station in Kissimmee. Davis planned the job and waited outside as Hall stormed the counter, stuffing a trash bag with cigarettes. When the clerk fought back, Hall flashed a gun tucked in his waistband and finished the theft. The duo later fenced the smokes for cash.
Less than 24 hours later, the crew struck again—this time with Mobley in the mix. At 7:10 p.m. on March 2, Davis drove Hall and Mobley to a Mobil station in Ocoee, supplying Mobley with a firearm. Inside, Mobley grabbed the clerk in a headlock and pressed the gun to the victim’s head. Hall filled another bag with stolen cigarettes. The trio again sold the haul to a vendor.
They weren’t done. That same night at 10:08 p.m., Davis dropped off Hall and Mobley at a Marathon station in Kissimmee, again handing Mobley a weapon. Mobley held the clerk at gunpoint while Hall loaded two trash bags with cigarettes. They vanished into the night with the loot and the firearm.
Hall and Mobley pleaded guilty on October 10, 2018. Davis followed on February 27, 2019. The case was jointly investigated by the FBI, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, Ocoee PD, Kissimmee PD, and Orlando PD. Assistant U.S. Attorney Chauncey A. Bratt prosecuted.
