Violent Bridgeport Gang Member Sentenced to 25 Years in Federal Prison

Trevon Wright, 23, was sentenced to 300 months of imprisonment, followed by five years of supervised release, for his involvement in a violent Bridgeport street gang, multiple shootings, and his murder of a rival gang member in 2020.

Wright, also known as ‘Tre,’ was found guilty of conspiring to engage in a pattern of racketeering activity on December 5, 2023, after a month-long trial. He has been detained since January 21, 2021.

The investigation, which involved the FBI, ATF, DEA, U.S. Marshals Service, and Bridgeport Police, determined that Wright distributed heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, and Percocet pills; used and shared firearms; and committed at least six murders and other acts of violence against rival gang members and other individuals.

Wright and other East End members celebrated their criminal conduct on social media websites such as Facebook and YouTube, and committed acts of intimidation and made threats to deter potential witnesses to their crimes and to protect gang members and associates from detection and prosecution by law enforcement authorities.

Approximately 47 members and associates of the East End, O.N.E., and GHB/Hotz gangs have been convicted of federal offenses stemming from this investigation, which has solved eight murders and approximately 20 attempted murders.

Trevon Wright, also known as ‘Tre,’ is now facing a lengthy prison sentence for his involvement in a violent Bridgeport street gang.

In connection with Wright’s sentencing, Acting U.S. Attorney Marc H. Silverman stated, ‘This investigation and prosecution have brought to justice a violent gang member who terrorized his community with his crimes.’

Wright’s sentence will serve as a deterrent to others who engage in similar violent activities.
