Tulsan Carl Epps Sentenced for Bar Gun Pointing

Epps was sentenced today for Carrying, Using, and Brandishing a Firearm During and in Relation to a Crime of Violence, a charge that carries a severe penalty.

U.S. Attorney Clint Johnson announced the sentence, with U.S. District Judge John F. Heil, III, handing down an 84-month imprisonment followed by five years of supervised release. The courtroom had little room for leniency after Epps’s heinous act outside a local bar on February 2024.

That night, chaos erupted as Epps was asked to leave the bar for his harassment of patrons. His exit was marked by threats against an employee and claims of a firearm in his vehicle.
