Joshua Manigault, Attempted Murder in Aid of Racketeering, South Carolina 2016

Two associates of the Wildboys street gang in South Carolina pleaded guilty to attempted murder in aid of racketeering activity, according to Grimy Times investigators.

The two men, Joshua Manigault, 30, and Damien Robinson, 20, both of Green Pond, South Carolina, were charged in an indictment with attempted murder in aid of racketeering and firearms offenses on February 9, 2016.

Manigault, aka J-Rizzle and Rizzle Back, and Robinson, aka Sacked Up, admitted to their involvement in a drive-by shooting in Walterboro on April 7, 2015. They fired multiple shots at a residence where members of the rival Dooley Hill gang were believed to reside. One individual inside the home was hit by the gunfire and sustained serious bodily injury.

Pleading guilty to attempted murder in aid of racketeering activity, Manigault and Robinson face sentencing before U.S. District Court Judge Richard M. Gergel of South Carolina.

According to their plea agreements, Manigault and Robinson were associates in the Wildboys, a violent criminal street gang based in South Carolina, with members operating in various South Carolina cities, including Summerville and Walterboro.

The Wildboys gang has been involved in a wide range of racketeering activity, including assault with dangerous weapons, murder, robbery, and narcotics trafficking, according to admissions made in connection with the pleas.

The cases are being investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Colleton County Sheriff’s Office, the Walterboro Police Department, Charleston County Sheriff’s Office, the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, the Summerville Police Department, and the First Circuit Solicitor’s Office. The cases are being prosecuted in partnership with the 14th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
