A Jefferson County woman has been indicted on federal drug charges, according to a recent press release. Jessica Doe, a resident of Jefferson County, was indicted on Conspiracy to Distribute Fentanyl and Possession with Intent to Distribute Fentanyl charges.
The indictment was announced on March 10, 2023 by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Alabama. The charges carry a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney John Smith.
