Lancaster Man Indicted for Lying to FBI Agents in Texas

El Paso, Texas – In a shocking turn of events, Victor Manuel Solis, a 53-year-old legal permanent resident living in Lancaster, California, has been indicted for lying to FBI agents in El Paso, Texas. According to Acting United States Attorney Richard L. Durbin, Jr., and Special Agent in Charge Douglas E. Lindquist of the FBI’s El Paso Division, Victor Solis willfully attempted to prevent law enforcement from locating his fugitive son, former Los Angeles Police officer Henry Solis.

Photographs released by the FBI show that Victor Solis, accompanied by Henry Solis, crossed into Juarez, Mexico, from El Paso at the Paso Del Norte Port of Entry on March 14, 2015. However, Victor Solis allegedly told FBI agents that he alone crossed into Mexico on March 14, 2015, in an attempt to prevent law enforcement from locating Henry Solis.

The indictment alleges that Victor Solis made a false statement to FBI agents on March 16, 2015. If convicted, Victor Solis faces up to five years in federal prison and a maximum $250,000 fine. He remains in federal custody while Henry Solis remains a fugitive from justice.

Authorities are seeking to arrest Henry Solis for his alleged involvement in a homicide in Pomona, California, last month. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading directly to the arrest of Henry Solis. Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Henry Solis is asked to contact their local FBI field office.

The case resulted from a joint investigation by the El Paso and Los Angeles Field Offices of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Kyle Meyers.

It is essential to note that an indictment is merely a charge and should not be considered as evidence of guilt. The defendant is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. The pursuit of justice continues as authorities seek to apprehend Henry Solis and bring him to justice.
