A Raleigh County woman has pleaded guilty to a federal fraud charge, marking a significant blow to the community.

Rampant abuse of power, Wanda Jane Goode, 42, of Shady Spring, was a cashier at a supermarket in Beaver that sold Visa prepaid debit cards. Her duties included activating these prepaid cards, but Goode took advantage of her position to carry out a brazen scheme. Between April 2019 and September 2019, Goode fraudulently activated numerous prepaid cards, making over $87,000 in unauthorized purchases and payments.
