A hard-hitting sentence was handed down on April 22, 2015, in the case of William Charles Carroll, a/k/a CC, 40, of Pearl, Mississippi. Carroll was sentenced by U.S. District Judge David C. Bramlette III to 121 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.
Carroll was also found guilty of using a firearm in relation to a drug trafficking offense, for which he received a 60-month prison sentence. The sentences will run consecutively, resulting in a total of 181 months in prison.
Carroll pleaded guilty to the charges on January 8, 2015. The case was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration HIDTA and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, with assistance from the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, and the Pearl Police Department.
The Drug Enforcement Administration HIDTA and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, played a crucial role in bringing Carroll to justice. The Hinds County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi Highway Patrol, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, and the Pearl Police Department also provided vital assistance to the investigation.
