HOUSTON – A Houston man has been ordered to federal prison for 30 years following his multiple convictions for child pornography, announced U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson.
William Craig Noonan, 39, was sentenced to 360 months for each of the two counts of conspiracy to produce and one count of distribution of child pornography, as well as 120 months for possession of child pornography. The sentences will be served concurrently for a total 30-year federal sentence.
Noonan, a registered sex offender, pleaded guilty to his crimes on March 26, 2014. He will be on supervised release for life following the completion of his prison term.
Co-defendant David Morse Barry, 55, was also sentenced to federal prison in connection with the case. Barry, formerly of Wichita Falls, will serve a total of 324 months for his convictions.
Barry proceeded to trial in May 2014 and was found guilty on two counts of conspiracy to produce and two counts of production of child pornography.
The case was investigated by the Homeland Security Investigations and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Sherri L. Zack and Bob Stabe.
The case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the U.S. government to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.
Both Noonan and Barry have been in custody and will remain there pending transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility to be determined in the near future.
