On July 10, 2019, federal authorities arrested Worsham Jr, a resident of Maryland, in connection with a string of violent crimes. According to a federal indictment filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland, Worsham Jr was charged with multiple counts of armed robbery, assault, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The indictment alleged that Worsham Jr had committed a series of violent robberies in the Baltimore area, during which he used a firearm to intimidate and threaten his victims. In one of the incidents, Worsham Jr allegedly shot a bystander who attempted to intervene, leaving the victim seriously injured. The prosecution presented evidence that Worsham Jr had a prior conviction for a violent crime, rendering him ineligible to possess a firearm. If convicted, Worsham Jr faced up to life in prison for the most serious charges. On January 15, 2021, Worsham Jr pleaded guilty to all counts of the indictment, admitting to the violent crimes. The court accepted his plea, and on March 22, 2021, Worsham Jr was sentenced to 27 years in federal prison, with a recommendation for early release after serving 20 years.
