In a shocking turn of events, the British authorities in Cairo have swooped in to dismantle a clandestine organization allegedly masterminded by former Premier Zagloul Pasha. Four prominent nationalists, including Nekrashy Pasha, a secretary in the Ministry of the Interior during Zagloul’s cabinet, Abdul Bahman Tashmy, one of Zagloul’s closest political assistants, William Makram Obled, a prominent Coptic member of the nationalistic delegation, and Barakat Pasha, Zagloul’s Minister of the Interior, have been arrested and charged with plotting against British interests.
