Zaire Aquil Lodge, Child Exploitation, Massachusetts 2024

A Brockton man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for coercing at least three minors to engage in sexually explicit conduct. Zaire Aquil Lodge, 46, pleaded guilty to three counts of sexual exploitation of children and one count of receipt of child pornography in January 2024.

Lodge used a false online persona of a teenage boy to convince his minor victims to send him sexualized images of themselves. He also knowingly received and attempted to receive child sexual abuse material (CSAM) between February and October 2021.

U.S. District Court Judge Richard G. Stearns handed down the sentence, which includes five years of supervised release. Lodge’s case is a disturbing example of the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

The investigation was led by the Department of Justice, with assistance from the Brockton Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations in New England. Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy and Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England, Michael J. Krol, made the announcement.

Assistant U.S. Attorney David G. Tobin of the Major Crimes Unit prosecuted the case, which was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood. This nationwide initiative was launched in May 2006 to combat child sexual exploitation and abuse. For more information about Project Safe Childhood, please visit https://www.justice.gov/psc.
