Ohio Attorney General’s Office has announced that 10 Medicaid providers are facing fraud charges. According to the press release, the charges include theft, money laundering, and conspiracy related to Medicaid fraud.
The defendants include Medicaid providers from various locations in Ohio, including Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Columbus. The charges were filed on March 15, 2023 and are pending in the Ohio Court of Common Pleas.
The investigation, led by the Ohio Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, found that the defendants allegedly submitted false claims to the Medicaid program, resulting in over $1 million in losses to the state.
