Larry Lamar Hudson, Possession with Intent to Deliver Methamphetamine, Pennsylvania 2023

A violent Philadelphia drug dealer is behind bars after a sweeping raid netted 9 illegally possessed firearms and nearly 2,000 packets of crystal methamphetamine. Larry Lamar Hudson, 27, also known as “Gunna,” was arrested Tuesday night in Montgomery County following a traffic stop that uncovered a pound of crystal meth stashed in his vehicle.

Agents from the Office of Attorney General’s Bureau of Narcotics Investigations executed a follow-up search at Hudson’s home on the 200 block of Sparks St. in Philadelphia. Inside, they discovered multiple additional pounds of crystal meth valued at nearly $200,000, along with nine weapons: two long guns, one shotgun, and six handguns. Hudson, a convicted felon, is legally barred from owning any firearm.

The narcotics seized would have been broken down into approximately 1,900 individual bags for street sale. Investigators also found 431 stamped packets of suspected heroin, each marked “New High Score Ultimate Level,” and more than $56,000 in cash during the raid. All evidence points to a high-volume, violent drug operation operating under the radar for months.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro confirmed the bust was the result of a prolonged investigation involving controlled buys and surveillance. “Drug dealing isn’t a non-violent enterprise,” Shapiro stated. “We seized nine guns from a defendant prohibited from possessing them. These are the tools of terror used to dominate neighborhoods.”

Hudson faces multiple felony charges in Montgomery County, including possession with intent to deliver, prohibited possession of firearms by a felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. The case will be prosecuted by the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office. The Philadelphia Police Department, Cheltenham Township Police, and the Office of Attorney General’s Gun Violence Task Force all assisted in the takedown.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty. Authorities warn that drugs like crystal meth and stamped heroin are fueling overdose deaths across Pennsylvania. The Office of Attorney General continues to target high-level traffickers tied to gun violence and organized crime. Anyone with information is urged to contact the PA Attorney General’s tip line at 717-787-5211.
