The three-day trial, presided over by United States District Judge Larry R. Hicks, concluded with Hessiani facing the statutory maximum penalty of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The sentencing hearing has been scheduled for March 22, 2018.

The investigation into Hessiani’s firearm possession was conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor Office of the Inspector General.
