Miami Man Sentenced for Methamphetamine Trafficking in Wyoming

Yuniel Aguila Darias, 36, of Miami, Florida has been sentenced to 46 months in prison for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine in Wyoming. Darias was arrested in Benton City, Washington, but the case was prosecuted in Wyoming.

According to court documents, Darias was arrested in September 2018 and charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. He was sentenced by Federal District Court Judge Alan B. Johnson on September 4, 2018. Darias will also serve 36 months of supervised release and pay community restitution in the amount of $900.00.

The case was investigated by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Mexican Nationals Sentenced for Re-Entry into the United States

Two Mexican nationals have been sentenced for re-entering the United States after being deported. Jose Guadalupe Morales-Simon, 56, of Chilpancingo, Mexico was sentenced to time served plus 10 days to allow for deportation proceedings. Morales-Simon was arrested in Casper, Wyoming in September 2018.

Maximilliano Beristain-Galicia, 26, of Calpulalpan, Mexico was also sentenced to time served plus 10 days to allow for deportation proceedings. Beristain-Galicia was arrested in Casper, Wyoming in September 2018.

Casper Woman Sentenced for Methamphetamine Conspiracy

Christine Renee Moffat, 39, of Casper, Wyoming has been sentenced to 70 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine. Moffat was arrested in Casper, Wyoming in September 2018 and was sentenced by Chief Federal District Court Judge Scott W. Skavdahl on September 6, 2018. Moffat will also serve 48 months of supervised release and pay community restitution in the amount of $500.00.

The case was investigated by the Casper Police Department and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation.
