Belgrade, MT – Juan Diego Rojas-Meneses, 20, won’t be spending much more time in Montana. The Mexican national was sentenced today to the 219 days he’s already served, then immediately handed over to U.S. Border Patrol.

Rojas-Meneses pleaded guilty to illegally re-entering the country after being booted from the U.S. twice last year – once on September 1st and again on September 23rd, both through El Paso, Texas. He didn’t bother getting permission from anyone to come back.

Cops raided a Belgrade residence on August 12th, 2025, and found Rojas-Meneses. He admitted he was in the U.S. illegally, lacking any proper documentation. A quick check confirmed his previous removals.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Zeno Baucus, with an investigation led by the U.S. Border Patrol, Homeland Security Investigations, Belgrade PD, and the Montana Division of Criminal Investigations.

Federal officials are framing the case as part of “Operation Take Back America,” a broad initiative aimed at cracking down on illegal immigration and transnational criminal groups.
