Kamaro Campbell, Cocaine and Fentanyl Trafficking, New York 2024

ALBANY, NEW YORK – Kamaro Campbell, 42, of Albany, has entered a guilty plea today in federal court for possession with intent to distribute cocaine and fentanyl, as well as for possessing a firearm during the commission of a drug trafficking crime.

United States Attorney Carla B. Freedman and Special Agent in Charge Frank A. Tarentino III of the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) New York Division announced the charges against Campbell.

The offenses to which Campbell has pled guilty carry a mandatory prison sentence ranging from 10 years to life, a fine up to $5,250,000, and supervised release for at least 4 years or up to life. The final sentence will be determined by a judge considering various factors including the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines.

During the execution of a search warrant at Campbell’s residence, law enforcement agents discovered 105 grams of fentanyl, 95 grams of cocaine, and a loaded pistol in a fanny pack within his bedroom closet. An additional court-ordered search of Campbell’s storage unit yielded an extra 105 grams of cocaine.

Before these searches, Campbell was involved in five separate law enforcement operations where he sold a total of 155 grams of cocaine and 74 grams of methamphetamine.

The DEA is handling the prosecution of this case, with Assistant U.S. Attorney Jonathan S. Reiner leading the legal efforts against Campbell.
