Marco Deputy Indicted for Weapon Possession in Prison

SCRANTON – The grim halls of justice were once again called to action as Marco Deputy, a 30-year-old inmate from Frederick, Maryland, was slammed with federal charges for his brazen act of weapon possession in a correctional facility.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania issued the chilling charge on August 12, 2025. The indictment claims that Deputy, while serving time at the Schuylkill Federal Correctional Facility, dared to wield a prohibited object: a sharpened aluminum weapon.

Acting United States Attorney John C. Gurganus revealed that the date of Deputy’s audacious act was December 2, 2024. The case has been meticulously investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Federal Bureau of Prisons, showcasing the relentless pursuit of justice.

The Assistant U.S. Attorney Sarah R. Lloyd will be the one to bring the full weight of federal law down on Deputy if convicted. The maximum penalty for such a heinous offense under federal law is a five-year stretch behind bars, followed by supervised release and a substantial fine.

However, it’s important to note that an indictment only signifies allegations. As with all charges, Marco Deputy is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

The grim reality of prison life and the need for constant vigilance against such threats are once again highlighted by this case. The community expects nothing less than a thorough investigation and a fair trial to follow.
