Wyoming Man Indicted for Fentanyl and Carfentanil Trafficking

GRAND RAPIDS – Ramico Jovon Earvin, also known as “Pooh,” a 43-year-old resident of Wyoming, Michigan, faces life imprisonment after being indicted for the intent to distribute over 400 grams of fentanyl and 100 grams of carfentanil, according to U.S. Attorney Timothy VerHey.

“Fentanyl and firearms are a deadly combination,” VerHey warned. “Our office is dedicated to removing this poison from our streets.”

The indictment, unsealed last week, accuses Earvin of possessing the potent opioids on March 4, 2025. He was also found in possession of a loaded .45 caliber revolver, despite being a convicted felon.

Earvin could be sentenced to 10 years or more for drug trafficking, with the firearm charge adding up to another 15 years. The Wyoming Police Department praised the seizure, emphasizing their commitment to community safety.

The investigation is ongoing, led by the Wyoming Police Department, Kent County Sheriff’s Office, and DEA. Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephanie M. Carowan is prosecuting on behalf of the United States. As always, Earvin is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
