Pratt Gets 27 Years: GirlsDoPorn Kingpin Sentenced

SAN DIEGO, CA – Michael Pratt, the architect of the depraved GirlsDoPorn sex trafficking operation, will spend the next 27 years in federal prison. Pratt, 40, was sentenced today for orchestrating a scheme that ensnared hundreds of women, turning their lives into a nightmare for profit. The sentencing follows a harrowing day in court where victims confronted Pratt, detailing years of trauma, abuse, and shattered dreams.

Pratt, owner and operator of GirlsDoPorn.com and GirlsDoToys.com, built a multimillion-dollar criminal empire on deception and coercion. He lured vulnerable young women with false promises of modeling work, then trapped them in a cycle of exploitation, broadcasting their abuse to a global audience. The scheme wasn’t about legitimate photography; it was about manufacturing pornography under duress and capitalizing on the resulting views. The operation generated millions in revenue, fueled by subscriptions and views on platforms like Pornhub.

The courtroom was packed with 40 women, many of whom tearfully recounted their experiences. Victims described being lured to San Diego hotel rooms under false pretenses, only to be subjected to sexual exploitation, coercion, and even rape. The fallout extended far beyond the initial abuse. Many spoke of years battling suicide attempts, diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. The loss of jobs, relationships, and the constant threat of stalkers and harassment were common themes. Some underwent cosmetic surgery to alter their appearance, changed their names, or succumbed to substance abuse. One victim confessed to needing a glass of wine just to face the court.

The evidence revealed a calculated operation. Pratt and his co-conspirators posted misleading modeling ads to attract victims, promising their videos wouldn’t be published online. This was a blatant lie. Videos were routinely uploaded to GirlsDoPorn, GirlsDoToys, and aggressively promoted on free pornography platforms like PornHub, racking up millions of views. Victims were pressured into completing shoots through threats of lawsuits, cancelled travel arrangements, and the fear of their images being exposed. Some found themselves effectively imprisoned in hotel rooms, exits blocked by camera equipment.

The victims’ statements were searing indictments of Pratt’s cruelty. “Pratt has caused me to fear my own name,” one woman stated. Another lamented, “The life I was meant to have, died in that hotel room.” A third simply declared, “Profit over people. Cruelty over humanity.” The most powerful testimonies were direct appeals to the defendant. A 21-year-old law student at the time of her exploitation proclaimed, “I am not your victim. I’m your reckoning…I am the girl who took you down.” A 19-year-old former dance teacher, fired after her involvement was revealed, called Pratt “evil,” a “predator,” and a “rapist.” A 21-year-old college student, aspiring to be a teacher, said the crime “dismantled my identity.” A high school senior, forced to abandon her college plans, described the ordeal as a “theft of my identity, my safety, my dreams and my peace.”

U.S. District Judge Janis L. Sammartino, after listening to five hours of victim impact statements, delivered a stern sentence, adding time due to Pratt’s leadership role in the massive trafficking organization. “I’ve been doing this a very long time and I’ve never had a case like this before, of this magnitude…The sheer scope and magnitude of this offense causes this court to vary upward,” she stated. The prosecution successfully argued that the scale of Pratt’s operation and the lasting damage inflicted on his victims warranted the maximum sentence. While 27 years won’t erase the pain, it sends a clear message: exploiting human beings for profit will not be tolerated.
