MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA – Antonio Junior Guerrero, also known as ‘Mula,’ has admitted to a conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and to distribute 28 grams or more of cocaine base. The crime occurred from July 2018 to June 2021 in Jefferson County and elsewhere.
Antonio Junior Guerrero, 29, of Ranson, West Virginia, pleaded guilty today to one count of Conspiracy to Possess with Intent to Distribute and to Distribute Twenty-Eight Grams or More of Cocaine Base. Guerrero admitted to working with others to distribute cocaine base in the Eastern Panhandle and other areas.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lara Omps-Botteicher on behalf of the government. The FBI; U.S. Marshals Service; Homeland Security Investigations; the West Virginia Air National Guard; the Eastern Panhandle Drug Task Force; the West Virginia State Police; the DEA Task Force Montgomery County, Maryland; and the Frederick, Maryland, HIDTA group investigated the crime.
Guerrero faces at least five years and up to 40 years of incarceration and a fine of up to $5,000,000. The actual sentence imposed will be based upon the seriousness of the offenses and the prior criminal history, if any, of the defendant.
U.S. Magistrate Judge Robert W. Trumble presided over the case.
Guerrero’s admission to the crime marks a significant blow to the Eastern Panhandle’s fight against drug trafficking.
