Adam Beck, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Nebraska 2023

A Lyons man has been sentenced to prison for his conviction of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Adam Beck, age 50 of Lyons, Nebraska, received a 110-month imprisonment sentence and three years of supervised release from United States District Court Judge Joseph F. Bataillon.

According to court documents, Beck’s residence was searched by the Thurston County Sheriff’s Office in August of 2012 as part of an investigation into another individual. During the search, multiple firearms were located, including a Ruger rifle reported stolen in Burt County, a Winchester rifle, and a Savage Arms rifle.

DNA testing revealed that Beck was the primary contributor of DNA found on two of the weapons and a minor contributor of DNA found on the third rifle. Notably, at the time of the search, Beck was on supervised release from a 2007 federal conviction for being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The investigation was led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). The case highlights the ongoing efforts to combat gun violence and hold individuals accountable for their actions, particularly those who have previously been convicted of serious crimes.
