Adam Richard Henderson, 35, of Bossier City, Louisiana, is headed to federal prison after being sentenced to 60 months for transporting child pornography. The former U.S. Air Force member admitted to distributing disturbing images of prepubescent minors through personal Yahoo email accounts, marking a fall from service to shame.
Henderson was sentenced by United States District Judge Elizabeth E. Foote, who ordered the 5-year prison term followed by an additional 5 years of supervised release. The charges stem from cyber-tip reports received in September and October 2020 by the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations, which traced illicit material back to Henderson’s digital footprint.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children flagged the activity, triggering a joint probe by the U.S. Air Force Office of Special Investigations and the Louisiana Bureau of Investigations. Agents confirmed Henderson controlled two Yahoo email accounts used to send graphic images depicting minors with lasciviously exposed genital and pubic areas.
On July 16, 2021, Henderson pleaded guilty to one count of transportation of child pornography. During the hearing, he admitted to sending the illegal images on March 14, 2020, while residing in Bossier City. His guilty plea cut short a growing federal investigation into his online conduct and digital history.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jessica D. Cassidy, acting under the authority of Acting United States Attorney Alexander C. Van Hook. The prosecution emphasized the predatory nature of using mainstream email platforms to traffic in child sexual abuse material.
This case falls under Project Safe Childhood, a Justice Department initiative targeting online child exploitation.
