Alejandro Escamilla, 50, of Omaha, Nebraska, has been sentenced to 224 months in prison for his involvement in a methamphetamine and firearm conspiracy.
Alejandro Escamilla, a resident of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced to 224 months in prison for his role in a methamphetamine and firearm conspiracy. United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced the sentence on August 2, 2024, in federal court in Omaha.
On July 27, 2022, law enforcement made arrangements to purchase methamphetamine from Escamilla. A controlled buy was completed, and Escamilla sold law enforcement one pound of methamphetamine. During the controlled buy, Escamilla utilized his 2015 Kawasaki motorcycle to facilitate the drug deal.
On December 14, 2022, law enforcement executed a search warrant of Escamilla’s residence in Omaha. Law enforcement seized $9,594 in United States currency from Escamilla’s bedroom. This currency is derived from drug proceeds and was utilized to facilitate Escamilla’s drug trafficking activities.
Law enforcement also seized a Ruger handgun and multiple boxes of ammunition from the same bedroom. In a detached garage, law enforcement seized 62 pounds of methamphetamine. Escamilla admitted to law enforcement that the 62 pounds of methamphetamine was what was left over from the 120 pounds he received in a shipment roughly two weeks prior.
Alejandro Escamilla also agreed to the forfeiture of $9,594 and a 2014 Kawasaki Motorcycle. After his release from prison, he will begin a 5-year term of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
The case was investigated by the DEA. Alejandro Escamilla’s involvement in a methamphetamine and firearm conspiracy has been brought to light, and he will now face the consequences of his actions.
