Alex R. Lee, a 35-year-old man from Moundsville, West Virginia, has been held accountable for his role in the distribution of methamphetamine in Marshall County.
According to officials, Lee pleaded guilty in November 2021 to one count of “Distribution of Methamphetamine.” His crime occurred in February 2021.
Lee admitted to selling methamphetamine in Marshall County, West Virginia. He was subsequently sentenced to 14 months of incarceration.
The Marshall County Drug Task Force, a HIDTA-funded initiative, investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Clayton J. Reid prosecuted the case on behalf of the government.
U.S. District Judge John Preston Bailey presided over the case.
The sentencing comes as a result of the ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region. The investigation and prosecution of cases like this one help to keep communities safe and hold individuals accountable for their actions.
