CHICAGO — An Oak Park man has been sentenced to 21 years in federal prison for sex trafficking several children in the Chicago area.
Allen Young, 53, was convicted of sex trafficking four young girls in the Chicago area and attempted to traffic a fifth. The victims, some as young as 15 years old, were forced to engage in prostitution and were photographed and posted online for commercial sex.
Young would then drive the minors to meet with individuals who responded to the ads, and would take some of the money paid to the victims. In some cases, he required the victims to have sex with him.
A jury convicted Young of five sex trafficking counts and one attempted sex trafficking count earlier this year. On Monday, U.S. District Judge Edmond E. Chang imposed the 21-year prison sentence and ordered Young to pay $37,750 in restitution to the victims.
The case was investigated by the FBI Chicago Child Exploitation Task Force, with special assistance from the Chicago Police Department. The government was represented by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Andrianna Kastanek and Christine O’Neill.
The evidence in the case revealed that Young trafficked the victims at various times in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Several of the victims testified at trial about their ordeals.
