Ambrose Wan, a/k/a Ambrose Won, a/k/a Bruno, 33, a New York City man, has pled guilty to heroin trafficking in Maine. Wan, who faces between 10 years and life in prison, a $10,000,000 fine and between eight years and life on supervised release, is accused of conspiring with others to distribute heroin, fentanyl, cocaine and cocaine base, commonly known as "crack", in Central Maine.

According to court records, between July and September 2017 Wan conspired with others to distribute the drugs in Central Maine. The drugs were obtained from sources in New York and distributed throughout Central Maine by a network of dealers. On September 6 and 28, 2017, police recovered drugs from two hotel rooms in Waterville intended for distribution by Wan and others.

The case was investigated by the Waterville Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, with the assistance from the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, and prosecuted as part of the government’s Strategy to Combat the Opioid Epidemic.

Wan’s prior conviction for a felony drug offense enhances his penalties. He will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.
