A Nebraska City woman was sentenced to a lengthy prison term for her role in a methamphetamine distribution ring, according to authorities.
Amy Henner, 45, was found to be in possession of nearly half a pound of methamphetamine, which was discovered by police investigators on March 18, 2021, in Lincoln, Nebraska.
A forensic scientist at the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab confirmed the presence of at least 190 grams of pure methamphetamine in the substance.
Henner admitted to investigators that she had been selling methamphetamine to others, leading to her conviction for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
On May 23, 2023, Senior United States District Court Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced Henner to a term of 66 months’ imprisonment followed by three years of supervised release.
The case was investigated by the Nebraska State Patrol and the Lincoln/Lancaster County Narcotics Task Force, which is comprised of officers from the Nebraska State Patrol, Lincoln Police Department, and the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office.
Henner will be required to serve her prison sentence without the possibility of parole, as there is no parole in the federal system.
This case serves as a reminder of the ongoing battle against methamphetamine distribution and trafficking in the state of Nebraska.
