An Omaha man has been sentenced to over 7 years in prison for distributing methamphetamine in the city.
Juan Diaz-Diaz, 27, was sentenced on February 3, 2023, in federal court in Omaha for distribution of methamphetamine.
Chief United States District Court Judge Robert F. Rossiter, Jr. handed down the sentence of 87 months’ imprisonment, as per the United States Attorney Steven A. Russell.
Upon completing his term, Diaz-Diaz will be required to serve a 3-year term of supervised release, with no parole in the federal system.
The investigation revealed that Diaz-Diaz sold over a half-pound of methamphetamine to a confidential informant (CI) on three separate occasions in 2020.
The CI made the purchases at different Omaha locations, with the total amount of methamphetamine purchased weighing over a half-pound.
The Omaha Police Department led the investigation into Diaz-Diaz’s activities, culminating in the sentencing.
